Joseph A. Quash, M.D.
After training at Howard University and Walter Reed Army Medical Center in 1973, Dr. Quash went
on to serve as Chief of Medicine at Kimbrough Army Medical Center. From there he worked as an
Associate in Cardiology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. After two years, he decided that it
was time to open his own private practice. Dr. Quash is board certified in Cardiology and is
currently the Presidential Elect of the Medical/Dental Staff and Director of the Cath Lab at
Providence Hospital in Washington, DC.
Thomas Pinder, M.D.
A member of the practice since 1978, Dr. Pinder received his education and training at Howard
University, William Beaumont General Hospital and completed his cardiology fellowship at Walter
Reed Army Medical Center. He became board certified in cardiology in 1983. He has also received
honors and awards as Outstanding Cardiology Fellow and Outstanding Teacher Awards. Dr. Pinder
is currently Chief of Cardiology, Medical Director of the Coronary Care Unit and is part of the
Teaching Faculty all at Providence Hospital.
Ravjyot Chawla, M.D., R.V.T.
Capital Cardiology Consultants, P.C. is pleased to announce new physician Ravjyot Chawla, M.D.,
R.V.T. specializing in new approaches of cardiovascular diagnostic imaging techniques to include
vascular for peripheral arterial and carotids, CT angio for coronary artery disease and nuclear
stress imaging. Dr. Chawla is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. She received her training at Beth
Israel Medical Center in New York and she completed her fellowship at Loyola University Medical
Center in Chicago, Illinois. She is a registered vascular technician, CT angio trained and board
certified in Nuclear Cardiology. She performs diagnostic catherizations and TEE’s. Her interests
include running, traveling and shopping.
Jiji Ninan, NP
Jiji Ninan, Nurse Practitioner joined the practice in June 2004. Prior to joining us, Jiji worked as a
nurse practitioner at Providence Hospital, Washington Hospital Center and Prince George's
Hospital Center. She did her undergraduate studies in Nursing in India. She received her Master of
Science in Nursing from Howard University College of Nursing in 1992 and a Post Master's
Certificate in Family Nurse Practitioner from Catholic University in 1996. As a NP, Jiji is licensed to
practice medicine independently within the scope of a nurse practitioner. She treats hospitalized
and office patients in collaboration with the physicians. Jiji is a great addition to the staff.
Jo-Ana Dolojan, NP
Jo-Ana Dolojan, Nurse Practitioner joined the practice in June 2007. Jo-Ana received her BSN and
Masters Degree from the University of Washington in Seattle, WA. She has worked in the areas of
cardiothoracic surgery and interventional cardiology as both RN and nurse practitioner. She moved
back to the DC area over a year ago. Prior to joining the practice in July 2007, she worked at
Georgetown University Hospital in the Department of Thoracic Surgery.
Practice Administrator—Deana Jefferson, M.S. Healthcare Administration
Ms. Jefferson is the Practice Administrator of the group since March of 2004. She received her
Masters of Science in Health Care Administration from University of Maryland and completed her
undergraduate studies at Coppin State College and received a Bachelor's of Science in
